The Constitution Route History and Wine Tour
Here's a great package which we are pleased to offer, for those of you who can't decide whether you want a history tour or a wine tour: we say BOTH!
Day One: A visit to Montpelier, home of James and Dolly Madison, Barboursville Vineyards (multiple Governor's Cup Gold Award Winners) for a walk through the historic ruins, tour of their museum, tasting and lunch, followed by reserve tastings at Horton Vineyard (Governor's Cup Gold for 2006 petit Manseng) & Keswick Vineyards (Two Governor's Cup Gold Winners).
Day Two: Start with a tasting at Kluge Estate (Two Governor's Cup Gold Winners), visit Ashlawn Highland, home of James Monroe, then on to Michie Tavern for a tour and lunch, next a visit to Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson, and finish the day at Jefferson Vineyards (Mulitple Silver Governor's Cup Winners) for a reserve tasting of their wines.
Transportation, all entrance fees (we provide a Presidents Pass), all tasting fees, and lunch both days are included.
