Guests who toured this summer have voted Afton Mountain Vineyards and Winery their winery pick of the month.  Located in Afton, Virginia, in the shadows of Afton Mountain, owners Shinko and Tom Corpora have consistently produced award-winning wines as they have brought in one European winemaker after another.  Crisp to dry whites, including one of the only Gewurtztraminers in the state, light to full bodied reds, a wonderful Pinot Noir (one of the few available in Virginia), plus a Brut Sparkler.

We are a full service wine tour company, independent of any winery, committed to providing professional, knowledgeable guides and the utmost in customer service.  Our guided tours include transportation (whether in a four wheel drive, limo, or even a chartered bus), sample of award-winning wines, a behind the scenes look at winery and vineyard operations and interaction with winery principals.  All tasting fees (even reserve tastings) are included.

Wine Tours of Virginia allows wine enthusiasts to judge wine based on aroma and taste. They judge each sample and arrive at their own version of the Parker scoring system used in Wine Spectator.
You be the Judge! Blind tastings allow you to compare, contrast and score samples based on appearance, aroma, taste and overall impression. All the while you are interacting with a winery principal learning how the vine becomes wine.
